goals against Cal State Northridge in a 4-0 win in the first game of
the season...
1998:...started in all 19 games...scored lone goal of the
season against Northern Arizona on September 7...collected one goal
and one assist for a total of three points on the season...tallied
seven shots on-goal off of 12 total shots...was a physical force for
the Lions in the central midfield...
1997:...voted Rookie of the Year
by teammates...garnered All-WCC second-team honors...selected to the
Soccer Buzz All-Freshman West team...started in 17 of 19 games
played...tallied five goals for the season...scored the winning goal
against Gonzaga on November 7...had lone assist against Portland
(Nov. 9).
High School: Roberts is a 1997 graduate of Laguna Hills High School
in Laguna Hills, CA...a four-year letterwinner in soccer...honored as
the team's Most Valuable Player three times...named first-team
all-league all four years...a Los Angeles Times and Orange County
Register All-Orange County second-team selection...garnered All-CIF
first-team honors as a senior...also played prep volleyball...prep
soccer coach was Kevin Macre.
Personal: Stacy Alicia Roberts was born on July 11, 1979 in Mission
Viejo, CA...the daughter of Jeff and Cheryl Roberts...has one
brother, Cory...also recruited by Santa Clara, Pepperdine and San
Diego State...a communications major who aspires to enter the field
of public relations.
