WOMEN'S SOCCER RECORDS ITS FOURTH CONSECUTIVE SHUTOUT AT USF

    San Francisco, Calif., Sunday, October 10, 1999 -- The Loyola Marymount women's soccer team recorded its fourth consecutive shutout by handing the University of San Francisco a 6-0 loss at Nogeosco Stadium today. The Lions have recorded 13 goals in their last two games.

    Freshman Jill Dobens scored twice today for LMU and recorded her second consecutive multi-goal game. Amanda Shellenberger, Stacy Roberts, Bree McCann and Kerri Tanksley all hit the back of the net in a contest that saw the Lions outshoot the Dons 20-7. USF falls to 2-10-2 on the season, and 0-3 in the West Coast Conference with today's loss.

    Loyola Marymount goalkeeper Tracy Sharp recorded a shared shutout with Elizabeth Skhal, bringing Sharp to within two of the West Coast Conference career record of 27.

    LMU (10-2 Overall, 1-0 WCC) returns to action this Friday, October 15 when it travels to San Diego, Calif. The Lions will meet the University of San Diego Toreros at 7 p.m.
