Briefly:Joshua Moreno begins his second year at LMU, his first
athletically...will vie for a starting job at right midfielder or right
back...proved in the spring to be a tenacious defender...has remarkably
improved his distribution of passes.
At LMU:Moreno enters his freshman season in the Lions'
program...1999...redshirted the 1999 season.
High School:Moreno is a 1999 graduate of Village Christian High
School in Sun Valley, CA...a four-year varsity letterwinner in both
soccer and baseball...served as team captain as a junior and
senior...honored as a All-Alpha League pick all four years...garnered
second-team All-CIF Division V honors as sophomore, and first-team
honors as a senior...named the Alpha League MVP...prep coach was Bill
Schnobrich.
Personal:Joshua Anthony Moreno was born on October 1, 1980 in La
Crescenta, CA...the son of Arturo and Alba Moreno...has one brother,
Ivan...names carne asada, black beans and rice as his favorite food...a
political science major with a Spanish minor.
