Briefly:Eric Kim begins his second year at LMU a very versatile
midfielder who will see a bulk of time on the right side...does a great
job of finding targets with his crossing passes...has the potential to
average one assist per game.
At LMU:Kim enters his sophomore season in the Lions'
program...1999...played in all 19 games and started in 15...scored two
goals on the year...his first collegiate goal came against Oregon State
(Sept. 24)...tied for the team lead with six assists on the year...tied
the LMU mark for assists in a single game with three against St.
Mary's (Nov. 5)...finished fourth on the team with 10 points...his six
assists tied for eighth best in the conference...is tied for third in
the LMU record books for career assists.
High School:Kim is a 1999 graduate of Irvine High School in Irvine,
CA...a three-year letterwinner...named varsity Most Valuable Player as a
junior and senior...twice earned All-Sea View League honors...served as
team captain his junior and senior seasons...prep coach was Rich Breza.
Personal:Eric S. Kim was born on February 6, 1981 in Irvine, CA...the
son of Yong and Youn Kim...has one brother, Roy...names "The Simpsons" as
his favorite television show...lists snowboarding as one of his
hobbies...a business major with minor in computer science.
