Dade Returns After Long Hiatus to Notch Clean Sheet

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — LMU (0-0-1, 0-0-0) played to a scoreless draw against the Michigan (0-0-1, 0-0-0) on Thursday at U-M Soccer Stadium.
 
Despite the lack of goals, the Lions outshot the Wolverines 5-4.
 
The first half commenced with LMU establishing its defensive presence, highlighted by Ky Mani Dade's crucial save at 13:01 on a shot by Michigan's Joao Paulo Ramos. Despite several offensive attempts, including a shot by Nicholas Wilson at 14:57 and a notable save by Michigan's Alen Bean on Anthony Boyadjian's shot at 30:51, LMU was unable to capitalize. The half concluded with both teams locked in a scoreless draw.
 
In the second period, the Lions faced a challenging sequence, highlighted by a red card issued to Felix Contreras in the 75th minute. Despite being a player down, LMU managed to create multiple scoring opportunities. Boyadjian and Axel Uriostegui both tested Michigan's defense, but their attempts were saved by Alen Bean. The match concluded without a change in the score, maintaining a 0-0 tie.
 
Ky Mani Dade secured a shutout with three saves, including two crucial stops in the first half. Boyadjian led the offensive efforts with three shots, two of which were on goal. Uriostegui contributed with two shots, one on target, adding pressure to the opposing defense.
 
The next challenge for the Lions is a matchup against UC Irvine. The game is set for Monday, Aug. 24, at 7 p.m. on the road in Irvine, California.
