Brylee Kelly joins the LMU women's volleyball coaching staff ahead of the 2026 season and will serve as an Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the program. Kelly will work primarily with the Lions' pin attackers and liberos while overseeing the program's recruiting efforts.
Kelly arrives on the Bluff with coaching experience at Utah State University, California Baptist University, and Liberty University, bringing expertise in player development, recruiting, scouting, and offensive systems.
Most recently, Kelly served as Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Utah State, where she directed all aspects of the Aggies' recruiting process, including talent identification, evaluation, relationship building, campus visits, and NCAA compliance. She also worked closely with Utah State's pin hitters and liberos through individual training sessions and film analysis.
Prior to Utah State, Kelly spent the 2025 season at California Baptist University, serving as the lead coach for the Lancers' outside hitters and liberos. Along with overseeing player development, she played a key role in recruiting and offensive scouting.
Kelly also spent time on staff at Liberty University, where she worked primarily with the Flames' outside hitters and middle blockers while contributing to offensive scouting and match preparation.
Before transitioning into coaching, Kelly enjoyed one of the most accomplished playing careers in Wichita State volleyball history. A six-year member of the Shockers program, she finished her career ranked among the top 10 in school history in kills and became the first Wichita State student-athlete to earn American Athletic Conference Preseason Player of the Year honors.
A two-time First Team All-Conference selection, Kelly still holds the Wichita State record for kills in a four-set match with 29 and ranks second in program history for kills in a five-set match with 29.
Kelly earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Wichita State University.
