LOS ANGELES – Head Coach David Carrasco has announced the 2026 LMU men's water polo's schedule ahead of his second season leading the Lions. LMU's fall games will be primarily played off campus, as Burns Aquatics Center undergoes pool renovations. Based on the timing of completion of the project, some game locations may be changed.
The Lions will begin the season with four games in Irvine at the UCI Invitational on August 28 and 29.
On September 12, LMU will play a pair of games in Westwood at the Spieker Aquatics Center against both UCLA and UC Santa Barbara.
The following weekend, the Lions will travel north for the three-day MPSF Tournament. This year's event will be hosted on the campus of Stanford University.
The Battle of the Kings returns to UC San Diego with the two programs playing under the lights on September 23.
The month will close out with two more games in Irvine on September 26 against both the Anteaters and Navy.
October kicks off with a pair of neutral-site games in Huntington Beach on the first of the month against Cuesta College and McKendree.
The following day, LMU opens West Coast Conference play at Pepperdine in Malibu with a noon Friday game.
Conference play will continue on the road the following weekend with games at Saint Mary's and Pacific.
The Lions are scheduled to make their home debuts on the weekend of October 17-18, with noon games on back-to-back days against San Jose State and Santa Clara.
LMU returns on the road with games at Concordia-Irvine and UC San Diego.
October 30 at Air Force and November 8 at UC Davis will close out the team's final two WCC games.
The Lions plan to host Long Beach State on November 12 for an evening game at Burns.
The regular season will close at CBU in Riverside.
This year's West Coast Conference Championship will be played on the campus of Santa Clara University from November 20-22.
