Ellie Davis and Chloe Hooker Highlight WCC All-Academic Team

LOS ANGELES – The West Coast Conference announced its Beach Volleyball All-Academic Team for the 2026 season. This year's 10-member team encompasses West Coast Conference student-athletes who excelled both on the courts and in the classroom. LMU's Ellie Davis and Chloe Hooker represent the Lions on the All-Academic team.

Davis holds a 3.99 GPA in Animation. She has also been named WCC Pair of the Week twice this season and has recorded multiple wins over ranked pairs throughout the season including 19 consecutive wins between Feb. 27 and Mar. 28, 2026. Davis has won 26 matches in 2026 alone.

Hooker is a Health and Human Sciences Major with a 3.90 GPA. Chloe Hooker's accolades include AVCA All-American, All-WCC Beach Volleyball, First Team, WCC Defensive Player of the Year, AVCA Top Flight, NCAA All-Tournament Team, WCC All-Academic Team, and WCC Freshman of the Year, amongst others, and this season she became just the sixth LMU player in school history to surpass 100 career wins and is tied for the third-most wins in program history with 109.

Jaeya Brach, Anna Pelloia, Magdalena Rabitsch, and Tanon Rosenthal have also been named to the All-Academic Honorable Mention Team

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the West Coast Conference selects an all-academic squad for each conference-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to their team and in at least their second year at their school.

#9 LMU enters the conference tournament as the top seed once again.

The tournament will run from April 23-24 at Ocean Park Beach in Santa Monica, Calif. All duals will be streamed live on ESPN+ and fans can watch from the beach at no charge.

For more information on the tournament, check out the West Coast Conference Beach Volleyball Tournament Central home page.

The Lions have won each of the last six WCC Championships, and will look to extend their conference-record streak to seven in a row this week. LMU won the conference championship in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. There was no postseason held in 2020.
