LOS ANGELES - For the second consecutive week, LMU Beach Volleyball has claimed the West Coast Conference's Pair of the Week award.

The pair of Ellie Davis and Katie McAlister went 4-0 this weekend winning in straight sets each time they took the court. Not only did the pair not drop a set in any of the four duals, but they only allowed an opposing team to score more than 17 just once. On Saturday, no team pair scored more than 14 against the two Lions. Friday's win over #11 Long Beach State was the pairs second win inside of the top-11 this season after also defeating #9 Cal at the fives on the opening day of the season. Davis and McAlister recorded final sets with dominant scores of 21-14, 21-17 over Concordia, 22-20, 21-15 against #11 Long Beach State, 21-11, 21-14 against CSUN, and 21-9, 21-14 against Boise State.

This is the duo's first conference weekly honor of the season. Magdalena Rabitsch and Ines Piret earned the recognition after the opening week of the season.

The eighth-ranked Lions will compete at the Long Beach State Invitational this upcoming weekend with matches against Cal State Bakersfield, Stetson, UAB, and concluding with a rematch against Long Beach State.
