O’Dell Earns Second Straight WCC Pitcher of the Week Honor

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - After another commanding weekend in the circle, LMU softball's Lindsay O'Dell has been named the West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week, the conference office announced Monday.

O'Dell anchored the Lions' pitching staff at the CBU Classic, delivering a poised and dominant five-game stretch that resulted in four victories and propelled LMU to a perfect 5-0 weekend and a 10-1 overall record.

She opened the tournament with a complete-game win over California Baptist, tossing 7.0 innings and allowing just one run on six hits to improve to 3-0 on the season. From there, O'Dell showcased her versatility by excelling in high-leverage relief situations. Against Utah State, she entered in the seventh inning of a tie game and shut down the Aggies over the final two frames, allowing just one unearned run while striking out two to secure the win and move to 4-0.

Later that afternoon versus CSU Bakersfield, O'Dell once again came out of the bullpen and completely shut the door, firing 3.2 scoreless innings without surrendering a hit to push her record to 5-0. She capped the weekend in dominant fashion against Hawai'i, entering in the fourth inning and delivering 3.2 scoreless innings while allowing just one hit and striking out four to secure a 6-0 shutout victory and improve to 6-0.

Across four appearances, O'Dell totaled 16.1 innings, allowed just one earned run, and earned four wins. She struck out 12 hitters and held opponents to a .089 batting average over her final 7.1 innings, not allowing a run in her final two appearances of the weekend.

Whether commanding a complete game or locking down tight situations in relief, O'Dell's composure, consistency, and ability to thrive under pressure were instrumental in LMU's undefeated weekend.

With back-to-back weekly honors to open the season, O'Dell continues to establish herself as one of the conference's most dominant arms early in 2026.
