LOS ANGELES – After accumulating the most wins in the history of the program and guiding LMU Beach Volleyball to their second top 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament, 6-time West Coast Conference Coach of the Year John Mayer has been named 2025 AVCA National Coach of the Year.

This season, Mayer's Lions have set the program record with 35 wins, defeated 10 top 10 opponents in the regular season, and defeated #1 in the country twice with wins over TCU and UCLA.
