LOS ANGELES – A pair from LMU beach volleyball has named West Coast Conference Pair of the Week for the third-straight week to begin the 2025 season. LMU's pair of Isabelle Reffel and Magdalena Rabitsch helped #2 LMU move to 13-1 on the season with three more wins over the weekend as a pair.
 
The two played together in three duals and did not drop a set, while allowing no more than 17 points in any game to an opponent. Reffel and Rabitsch helped the Lions sweep Vanguard (21-16, 21-12) and Mercer (21-17, 21-15) from the three's court setting up a top-10 matchup in the final game of the weekend against #8 Long Beach State. With LMU trailing 1-0 already in the dual, Reffel and Magdalena earned the first dual point for the Lions as the four's pair, defeating the Beach 21-17, 21-13, and tying the dual score at 1-1. The Lions needed that court as the team defeated their fifth top-10 team this season with a 3-2 dual win.

This is LMU's third consecutive WCC Pair of the Week recognition to open the season. In the first week of the season, Tanon Rosenthal and Giuliana Poletti Corrales earned the honor. LMU's pair of Anna Pelloia and Chloe Hooker followed in the second week of competition.
 
LMU enters the week ranked second in the nation in the collegiate beach volleyball polls. The Lions went 4-0 over the weekend and will play in the highly competitive East vs. West Invitational on the Manhattan Beach Pier. Admission is free for the two-day event.
