AVCA Poll
LOS ANGELES - For the first time in program history, LMU Beach Volleyball has ascended to the number two spot in the AVCA National Poll. The Lions are coming off a sensational opening week of play, having beaten then-ranked #1 USC, #2 TCU, #5 Stanford, #11 Arizona State, and #12 Hawaii. LMU's only loss came to the current top-ranked team, UCLA.
The Lions jumped five positions in the poll from their presason positioning, the largest positive move of any team in the Week 2 Poll.
Previously, LMU's highest mark was third, which the team achieved in the final poll of the 2021 season following a fantastic NCAA Tournament run.
LMU is now set to make their home debut with games at the on-campus courts on Friday, Februray 28 and Saturday, March 1. Games will be played at 10 AM and 2 PM both days. Nationally ranked opponents on this weekend's schedule include #16 Washington on Friday and #6 Cal Poly on Saturday.
