QUEEN'S BEACH, Hawaii – LMU beach volleyball's 2025 season is three day's into competition and already has a handful of signature wins. The Lions finished the OUTRIGGER Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic with a 5-1 record and wins over the sport's top-ranked, number two, number five, number eleven, and number twelve ranked teams.

On Saturday's final day of the event, LMU lost a tight battle against #3 UCLA, 3-2, in a game that featured three of the five courts go the whole way. LMU then blanked #11 Arizona State, 5-0, to close out the weekend.
 
The Lions are now set to make their home debuts as they return to Los Angeles. LMU will host CSUN and Washington on Feb. 28 in the first day of the Battle of LA. As the calendar turns to March, LMU welcomes Concordia and Cal Poly back to the on-campus beach volleyball courts
