LOS ANGELES – In his hire as Head Coach, LMU men's water polo has announced bringing former Long Beach State student-athlete and Brazilian international
Raul Morales to the coaching staff as an assistant coach.
"I'm very excited and honored to be part of this new chapter of LMU's water polo program," said Morales. "To help David, and the players, to take the program to the top is the ultimate challenge and I couldn't be more excited."
Morales, from Sao Paulo, Brazil, pairs up with Carrasco to help guide the Lions this spring and into the fall 2025 season.
The past two seasons on his alma mater's coaching staff. The Beach won 20 games in the fall and Morales helped mentor four ACWPC All-Americans in 2024.
Carrasco was hired as Head Coach in December following two seasons as assistant coach and a decorated career as an LMU Student-Athlete. The pair enter their first season together leading the program.
