FULL 2024 SCHEDULE
LOS ANGELES – Coming off a share of the inaugural West Coast Conference regular season championship, LMU men's water polo has announced the full schedule for the 2024 season.
The Lions open the season on Sept. 7, and will host La Verne in the morning and Chapman in the afternoon.
The first game under the lights will be played on Sept. 12, as LMU hosts Concordia for a Thursday night game.
LMU will travel up the coast to face Pepperdine in Malibu on Sept. 14 for the first road contest of the school year.
This year's WCC – Big West Challenge will be played at Burns Aquatics Center this season with three games scheduled for Friday, Sept. 20 and seven games set for Saturday, Sept. 21. The Lions will play UC Irvine on Friday before facing off against both Pacific and UC Santa Barbara on Saturday. Tournament action will begin at 3:00 PM on the 20
th and 9:00 AM on the 21
st.
Starting on Sept. 25 until LMU's return home on Oct. 11
th, the Lion will play at UC San Diego, at national runner-up UCLA, at Cal State Fullerton, and in the Gary Troyer Invitational in Pomona. The Lions will host Westcliff on Oct. 11
th before welcoming national semifinalist USC for a 6:00 PM that evening.
The following night, the Lions will play UC San Diego under the lights on Oct. 12
th.
Conference play begins on the road with games at Cal Baptist on Oct. 16
th and at Pacific on Oct. 20
th.
The Lions host the Waves on Friday night, Oct. 25
th, with a 6:00 PM game against the other 2023 WCC co-champion.
Following a midweek non-conference trip to UC Irvine, the Lions will host Santa Clara on Nov. 2
nd.
LMU will play at Air Force on Nov. 7
th.
The final WCC game on the regular season brings San Jose State to LMU on Nov. 10
th.
The Lions will close the regular season at home against Long Beach State under the lights on Nov. 14
th.
This year's WCC Championships will be played from Nov. 22-24 on the campus of the University of Pacific in Stockton, Calif.
The Lions are led by Head Coach John Loughran, who enters his 28
th year leading the program and has surpassed over 400 wins leading the program and assisted by LMU All-American David Carrasco.
