LOS ANGELES – Brendan Bobo launched a homerun against his former team, Khadim Diaw reached base four times and the Lions held on for a 9-7 victory against the visiting Cal State Fullerton Titans on Tuesday night at Page Stadium.Â

The Titans got out to an early lead after scoring a pair in the second, but the Lions put up four in the bottom half and never trailed for the remainder of the game.Â

Brett Zimmerman kicked off the scoring by placing a single through the left side of the infield. Three bases loaded walks added three more runs and the Lions turned a two run deficit into a two run lead.Â

Bobo's 11th round tripper of the season added three more in the bottom of the fourth. Christian Dicochea worked a one-out walk with a marathon of an at bat, fouling off pitches left and right before taking his base. Diaw followed by walking on four pitches before Bobo blasted a towering fly ball over the right field wall. He admired the ball for a moment before starting his trot around the bases. Â

The Titans added another in the top of the sixth, but the Lions answered with two more in the bottom half. Â

Dicochea reached on a single up the middle before scoring on a Diaw triple that was lined into the right-center field gap. It was Diaw's third triple of the season, now tied for the team lead.Â

The Titans got three in the seventh inning and one in the eighth, but the Lions held on for the two run victory. Â

The Lions head to Santa Clara for an important West Coast Conference weekend series against the Broncos. The Lions are tied for the sixth and final WCC Tournament spot with Pepperdine and will need to win one more conference game than the Waves going forward to secure their spot in Las Vegas. Â
