Lions Fall To ‘Eaters Despite Porter’s Double-Double, Vide’s Career-High

LOS ANGELES – One big run and a tough shooting night from LMU paired together to put LMU in a double-digit hole for the final 32 minutes of the game. The Anteaters handed the its first loss of the season, 66-51, while holding LMU to 33 percent shooting (20-for-60) and 27 percent (7-for-26) from three.

Jevon Porter made his season debut for the Lions and hit his first shot of the season on what turned into a big night for the junior transfer. He scored LMU's first points by knocking down a top of the key three and finishing with game-high numbers with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

The closest the Lions came to single digits was when Johnston and Porter hit consecutive threes to bring the score to 49-39 with 8:57 to play. The Lions hit of six of the team's seven threes in the second half. Johnston went 4-for-6 from long range to score a dozen and also lead the team in assists for a second game in a row.
