Although Pepperdine rallied with four straight points, LMU maintained control, closing out the set 25-19 with a decisive kill from Marlee Arrington.

Set three was nothing short of dramatic. LMU took an early lead, thanks to Flickinger's kill that sparked a six-point rally, making it 8-4. Hayes and Leah Burrell combined for block, fueling another five-point run. The Waves responded with two significant runs, closing the gap to just one point at 16-15. Trailing 23-20 late in the set, the Lions staged a fierce comeback, tying it at 24-24 to force extra points. The set extended to an intense 32-30 finish, with LMU claiming the win.

Set four was just as intense as the third. The teams exchanged leads early, with a kill by Sophia Meyers sparking a 3-0 LMU run to go up 10-6, prompting a Pepperdine timeout. The Waves answered with a four-point streak to reclaim a three-point edge. The set featured four ties, with the final one at 24-24, sending it into overtime. The set reached a thrilling 36-34 finish, with Jiana Lawson hammering down the final point off a perfect assist from Mia Schafer, securing the Lions' 3-1 match victory.
