LOS ANGELES – LMU men's basketball has officially signed point guard AJ Thomas. The class of 2025 prospect will join the Lions for the 2025-26 season out of Eduprize High School in Gilbert, Arizona.
 
"We are excited to have AJ join our program," said LMU Head Coach Stan Johnson. "AJ is a relentless competitor, who makes everyone around him better. His ability to get downhill and finish, combined with his passing skills, will make him tough to guard. AJ represents all the things we value in our program. He's a great person, teammate, and student. He comes from a tremendous family and will be an outstanding ambassador for LMU. We are proud to be a part of Aj's future. Today is a great day for LMU basketball."
 
Thomas is a strong and athletic right-handed guard standing in at 6-4. He competed for West Coast Elite.
 
"I picked LMU because it's the perfect fit for me," said Thomas. "Their resources are just as good, if not better, than many "high major" schools I've visited or received offers from. The coaches and staff there are straightforward and ensure I'm always challenged and improving. Plus, their education is among the best in the country. Honestly, I could go on for paragraphs about why I chose LMU, but it would've been a mistake not to choose it."
 
This is Johnson's first signed played for the class of 2025.
