In set two, the Beavers established an early 11-5 lead. An LMU 4-0 run, ignited by a kill from Kalani Hayes, narrowed the gap to 11-9. However, OSU responded with their 4-point streak to secure the set at 25-18.

Set three opened similarly, with OSU going up 6-2. Midway through, a service error from OSU enabled a 3-0 Lions rally, narrowing the gap to 13-11. However, OSU responded with back-to-back 4-0 runs, building a 10-point cushion to secure the set 25-15.

In set four, both teams traded leads early on. The Beavers eventually pulled ahead by six at 15-9, but a kill by Paige Flickinger started a four-point streak for the Lions, bringing them back within two. Sam Hastings' service ace tied the score at 20-20. LMU kept the momentum, sealing the set 25-22 with a block from Lawson and Olivia Toland.

The final set was tense, with OSU pulling ahead 10-6 before LMU fired back with four consecutive points, taking a 12-11 lead. A service error tied the score at 12-12, but the Lions rallied to score the final three points, securing the set 15-12 and the match 3-2.

Hayes led the Lions with 16 kills and a match-best .625 hitting percentage. Hastings led defensively with 19 digs, Mia Schafer contributed 27 assists, and Lawson added eight blocks.
