STOCKTON, CA – The Lions fell short, 75-54, to the Pacific Tigers on Thursday night. LMU got down by 10 early, allowed almost 30 points in the first quarter, and never recovered.
LMU is now 6-9 on the season and 1-2 for the new year.

Daylee Dunn finished with nine points and three steals.
Amaya Oliver also finished with nine points and eight rebounds.
Soufia Inoussa also concluded the game grabbing three rebounds with one of them being her 500th career rebound.
The Tigers secured an early advantage over the Lions in the opening quarter. Although a three-pointer by the Lions brought them into double digits with just over four minutes remaining, they still found themselves trailing by nine, with a score of 21-12. The Tigers shot 68.75% from the field while being a perfect 4-4 from the three-point arc. Pacific led going into the second quarter, 27-19.
In the second quarter, the Lions continued to play aggressively but found themselves trailing by over 10 points at halftime, with a score of 41-28. LMU chipped Pacific's lead down to 13 points in the third after an Oliver and-one and made free throw, but the Tigers got it back up to 18 by the end of the third. The deficit was too large for the Lions to try to make a comeback in the fourth quarter, resulting in the 75-54 loss.
The Lions next game is Saturday, Jan. 13, against the St. Mary's Gaels at 5 pm. In Moraga, CA.
