LOS ANGELES – The Golden Coast Conference has announced the members of the league's all-conference team on Tuesday morning. Three members of LMU's women's water polo team received recognition with Ruth Arino Ruiz and Mollie Williams being named First Team All-GCC and Marialena Seletopoulou landing on the All-GCC Second Team.
 
Arino Ruiz led the Lions this year, and ranked first in the GCC, with 51 assists this season. She became one of the only two players in the conference to surpass over 100 total points on the year. 
 
Williams was one of the top defenders in the conference this season and led LMU in steals with 22 and was one of only three Lions to record double-digit field blocks.
 
Seletopoulou scored 66 goals this season to lead the Lions and rank third in the GCC in scoring. Seletopoulou also ranked in the top-10 in the conference in both points and field blocks.
 
The 2023 GCC Women's Championships begin on Friday, April 28 with four first round matchups from San Diego State's Aztec Aquaplex in San Diego, Calif. LMU will play as the two-seed and face seven-seeded Santa Clara on Friday at noon. The tournament runs through Sunday, April 30 with the championship game at 1 pm.
