STILLWATER, Okla. - The Lions fell to No. 15 Oklahoma State 11-1 on Sunday afternoon at O'Brate Stadium in Stillwater, Okla.Â

The game got off to an auspicious start after the Cowboys hit a leadoff homerun on the second pitch of the game. Â

They would put up four more in the second and one in the third to take a commanding five-run lead after three innings were completed.Â

Diego Baqueiro hammered a 1-0 pitch out to left-center field to open the scoring for the Lions in the top of the fourth. It was Baqueiro's second homer of the season. Â

Baqueiro would finish with a pair of hits and
Dylan Dennis would add a single for the end total. Â

Owen Hackman got the start for the Lions on the mound. He gave up five runs (four earned) while striking out a pair. He issued no walks as the Lions staff continued to excel in limiting free passes. Â

Cole Clark took over in the third and allowed a homerun before being lifted for Austin Schroeder. Schroeder got out of the third unscathed and pitched a perfect fourth. Schroeder completed the fifth with a pair of flyouts and handed the ball off to
Chaz McRoberts. Schroeder's final line: one hit, no runs and a pair of strikeouts.Â

Logan Hurd, and
Cole Chimenti combined to get through the sixth allowing only one run. Chimenti continued into the seventh and was tagged for three runs, with
Conner Kershaw taking over and allowing a run as well. Â

The game ended in the seventh after the Cowboys went up by ten.Â

The Lions will play at UCLA on Tuesday night before facing UC Riverside in a three-game series from March 3 to March 5.Â
