RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The LMU women's soccer team drew 0-0 away against California Baptist University on Saturday night in Riverside, Calif.
The Lions (1-0-3) have now gone four straight games without allowing a single goal. The last time the Lions went four straight games without allowing a goal was in 2015. The last time the Lions were unbeaten through four games was in 2011.
Amanda Delgado continues to impress, recording six more saves and adding another clean sheet to the collection.
The Lancers (2-1-1) recorded 14 shots with six on target.
The backline trio of Alice Santen, Genevieve Watkins, and Gabriella Marchal continued to protect Delgado with strong defense. Marchal also provided the first chance of the match in the sixth minute on a dangerous lofted ball that was headed just over the crossbar.
Makayla Demelo continued to be a threat on the front line, firing two shots across goal and forcing a pair of saves.
The second half saw the Lancers earn three yellow cards and a red card as the match intensified.
Makiya Christensen provided an offensive spark from her wing back position with a pair of shots on goal.
The Lions hit the road this week to take on the Rebels of UNLV on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. in Las Vegas, Nev.
