LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University cross country team is excited to announce the upcoming schedule for the 2022 season.

The men's team will compete in six regular season meets before the West Coast Conference Championships take place on October 28. The women's team will compete in five regular season meets.

Both teams will begin the season at the Mark Covert Classic, hosted by Cal State Fullerton.

The South Bay Twilight meet follows on September 9. This meet is hosted by the Lions and will take place in Charles H. Wilson Park in Torrance, Calif.

The schedule splits on September 30 as a selection of men's runners will head to South Bend, Ind. for the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational and the women will head to Lodi, Calif. for the Pacific Collegiate Invite.

On Oct. 1, a separate selection of men's runners will head to Malibu, Calif. to compete in the Waves Invitational hosted by Pepperdine.

Both teams come together for the final two meets of the regular season. The teams will head to Santa Clara, Calif. for the Bronco Invitational on Oct. 15 and will finish out the regular season at the Titan Invitational in Fullerton, Calif.

The WCC Championships are set to be hosted by the University of Portland on Oct. 28.

The NCAA West Regional will see the Lions return to the northwest to take on the course at Jefferson Park Golf Course in Seattle, Wash.

Competitors there will race for an opportunity in the NCAA Championships hosted by Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla.
