PROVO, Utah - The Loyola Marymount University Lions (18-32-1, 13-13 WCC) dropped the second game of the BYU series, 9-3.

BYU scored six runs in the fifth inning to put them ahead 7-0 off starting pitcher
Jimmy Galicia. The Cougars tacked two unearned runs on in the seventh inning.

The LMU offense put up double-digit hits including Benny Cassila's triple in the eighth inning.
Diego Baqueiro brought home the first run on a ground out RBI.

Robbie Ayers reached on a one-out single in the ninth. A pair of walks loaded the bases for
Devan Ornelas. The LMU leadoff hitter doubled to left center which drove home two runs.
The two teams return to play on Saturday at 12:00 PM PST for the final game of the series.
