LOS ANGELES - The Loyola Marymount University Lions (18-29-1, 13-11 WCC) dropped the series finale on Sunday to Pepperdine, 6-1. The Lions scored one run, an eighth inning home run off the bat of

Pepperdine scored twice in the second and added one in the third to take a 3-0 lead.

Neither team generated a run tween the fourth and seventh inning until the Waves put three on the board in the eighth inning.

Dennis' ball carried over the Blue Monster for LMU's lone run, a solo shot in the eighth inning.

The Lions earned a lead-off walk in the bottom of the ninth, but couldn't bring home the runner to start a late rally.
LMU will have one final home game before closing the regular season next weekend at BYU. The Lions host Dixie State on Tuesday in a game that will celebrate the senior class for all their contributions to the program. Prior to Tuesday's star, seniors
