LOS ANGELES - The Loyola Marymount University Lions (18-28-1, 13-10 WCC) fell in the second game of the PCH Cup. After defeating Pepperdine on Friday night to open the series, the Waves put up seven run to top the Lions, 7-2.

Devan Ornelas in the first inning.
Pepperdine put multiple runs on the board in three consecutive innings with two in the third, three in the fourth, and two in the fifth.
Devan Ornelas lifted a solo shot over the right field wall to give LMU life in the ninth inning. The Lions would add a second runner in the inning but were unable to add any further damage as the game ended.
Dylan Dennis joined Weiss as the two Lions with multi-hit games.
The rubber match of the series will be played Sunday at 1:00 back at Page Stadium.
