LOS ANGELES- The No. 4 ranked Loyola Marymount University beach volleyball team (25-6) is set to host their final home stand in the regular season on Friday, Apr. 22 as they will host Cal State LA and No. 11 at Ocean Park Courts in Santa Monica, Calif.
The Lions are coming up a tough loss to No. 3 ranked UCLA on Wednesday evening as they are ready to face the Beach and Cal State LA for their last two home games of the year, before preparing to host the WCC Championships.
Looking ahead to Friday's match, the Lions will face the Cal State Golden Eagles first at 10:00 a.m. followed by a neutral match between the Golden Eagles and the No.15 ranked Long Beach State 49ers at 12:00 p.m., and the final match at 2:00 p.m. between the Lions and the #11 49ers to conclude the day.
The last meeting between the Lions and Golden Eagles was on Apr.18, 2017 as the Lions swept them 5-0.
As for the last meeting between the Lions and the 49ers, on Mar.1, the two competed in Long Beach, as the Lions won 3-2 in just their fourth match of the season.
All matches for Friday, Apr. 22 will be held at Ocean Park Courts in Santa Monica, Calif. The first match is set for 10:00 a.m., with a senior day ceremony to follow the 2:00 p.m. match against the 49ers.
