LOS ANGELES – Loyola Marymount's Men's Tennis doubles duo
Jose Dominguez Alonso and
Toky Ranaivo earned West Coast Conference Doubles Players of the Week honors after amazing performances in their last three matches.
Ranaivo and Dominguez Alonso have boosted the Lions in doubles play as they won three straight matches at the No. 2 position, which included a victory of the No. 16 ranked Pepperdine.
Against DePaul, the duo crushed the Blue Demons at the No. 2 position, 6-1, followed by a 6-0 landslide over the Dartmouth Big Green. The pair also defeated No. 16 ranked Pepperdine for the only doubles victory of the match, 7-5.
The Lions are 5-11 on the season, which they have turned things around recently, winning the last two of three matches. They will travel to Moraga, Calif. to continue conference play against the Saint Mary's Gaels on Friday, Apr.1 at 2:00 p.m. PST.
