Lions Travel to Saint Mary's for Nationally Televised Game

LOS ANGELES – LMU men's basketball is less than a month away from the start of the WCC Championships and has an opportunity this Saturday to get back on track. The Lions will make the drive from Santa Clara to Moraga ahead of Saturday night's game at Saint Mary's. The game will tip off at 7:00 PM and be broadcasted nationally on CBS Sports Network.

The two programs met earlier this season as the Gaels came down to the Bluff to play in Los Angeles. The score difference in that one was an oddity as the previous three matchups were all single-digit results.

Since conference play began, Eli Scott has averaged 17.3 points per game. Scott's scoring average in WCC games rank third only to the 20.0 points per game scored by San Francisco's Jamaree Bouyea and Gonzaga's Drew Timme.

Despite the loss on Thursday night to Santa Clara, LMU had their second-best game in terms of controlling the ball. The Lions committed only eight turnovers in defeat, one off their season-best seven at San Diego.

SMC has won six straight games this season since losing their conference opener back on Jan. 8 and are outscoring opponents by double-digits this season.

The way the WCC calendar panned out, the Lions close the regular season with five of the five of the final conference games on the road including the two this week.

In addition to the CBS Sports Network broadcast, KXLU 88.9 will broadcast the audio of the game on radio.
