SANTA MONICA -- The Loyola Marymount University beach volleyball team picked up two straight victories on opening day to CSUN, 5-0, and to No.11 Ranked Cal Bears, 5-0.
 
The Lions got off to strong starts which helped them make a huge impact in their run to sweep the Gauchos and Bears 5-0 in both matches.
