Anderson opened the second half with the first eight points for the Lions on a pair of threes and a midrange jumper. Anderson's second three cut it to a four-point game before Colorado State put together an 11-0 run in less than three minutes of game play. Rick Issanza ended the run with an offensive rebound dunk.

Keli Leaupepe scored all 14 of his points in the second half, including a personal 8-0 run to bring LMU within 10, 67-57 with 5:44 to play. Leaupepe, Anderson, and Shelton scored 40 of LMU's 44 second half points.

Jalin Anderson hit his fourth three of the game in the final minutes to give himself a new career-high of 20 points.

Both teams hit six threes in the second half, but Colorado State shot 63.3 percent overall in the game's final 20 minutes to pull away.
