LOS ANGELES – LMU women's volleyball won, 3-0, in Thursday night's match against the Pacific Tigers.
 
The Tigers started set one with a 3-0 run leading the Lions, but that didn't last long. A kill by Rose Booth sparked a six unanswered point streak for LMU leading Pacific by three, 7-4. The Lions would go on another 4-0 run making the score, 11-5. The Lions had three back-to-back kills from Kari Geissberger and Phoebe Awoleye that extended the lead by six, 15-9. LMU and Pacific would go back and forth, but the Tigers couldn't keep up. Lions won the first set 25-18.
 
A block from Jacquelyn Moore and Booth put the Lions on the board first in set two. LMU would then go on a 6-0 run leading the Tiger by eight, 17-9. A kill by the Tigers put Pacific within four of the Lions, but that wouldn't be enough. LMU would go on a four-point streak and win set two, 25-17.
 
Set three was all LMU. The Lions would go on a three-point streak leading the Tigers, 4-1. They would follow that with a 5-0 run increasing the lead, 9-2. At the end of the set, the Lions went on a four unanswered point streak to lead the Tigers by double digits, 24-12. An Audrey Klemp kill would give LMU their winning point, 25-13. The Lions would win the game, 3-0.
 
The Lions next game will be Saturday, Nov. 5, against the Saint Mary's Gaels in Moraga, CA.
