LOS ANGELES – LMU women's volleyball capped the regular season with a, 3-1, win against the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
 
Set one started off with LMU getting on the board first with a kill from Rose Booth. LMU would go on three 2-0 runs to lead Gonzaga, 7-3. In the middle of the set, the Lions went on another three 3-0 streak leading the Bulldogs by 10. A kill by Kari Geissberger, from Isabella Bareford, would seal the deal for set one for LMU, 25-14.
 
In set two there was a lot of back and forth between both team until the Bulldogs went on a three-point streak leading the Lions, 7-5. LMU brought the game within one point, 12-11, thanks to a block from Phoebe Awoleye, Bareford and Geissberger. Even though LMU held it tight, Gonzaga was determined to win. The Bulldogs went on a four unanswered point streak extending their lead and eventually taking set two, 25-19.
 
LMU started set three off with 3-0 run. The lead would increase when a kill by Booth sparked a run for the Lions. LMU would lead by five, 8-3. A three-point streak by the Bulldogs put Gonzaga within one of the Lions, 13-12. In the middle of the set, four back-to-back kills put the Lions up by five, but that didn't last long when the Bulldogs went on their own 4-0 run only trailing the Lions by one, 19-18. LMU would go on another four unanswered point streak, 23-18, and winning the set, 25-19.
 
Set four was all LMU. The Lions didn't trail the Bulldogs the whole set. The Lions went on a 7-0 run leading the Bulldogs by eight, 13-5. LMU went on another streak, this time it was a 5-0 run. The Lions led, 20-7.  A kill by Jacquelyn Moore followed by a ball handling error would give LMU the set, 25-10, and the game, 3-1.
