PORTLAND, Ore. – The LMU men's soccer team fell to No. 7 Portland 4-0 on Saturday evening on a rainy evening in Portland, Ore.
The Lions conceded a pair of goals before the half and a pair after to mark the final tally.
LMU had eight shots with three on target, compared to the 19 shots and 11 on target for the Pilots.
True freshman Anthony Wilson had a sight of goal in the 43rd minute. Cutting inside off the wing, Wilson looked up and tried his luck at curling a shot into the top right corner. The Portland goalkeeper stood tall and made a jumping save.
Braden Fidelak also forced a save in the 48th minute.
The Lions return home to face the San Diego Toreros on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. (PT) at Sullivan Field.
