Full 2022 Softball Schedule
Entering her second season with the Loyola Marymount University softball program, head coach
Tairia Flowers announced the 2022 schedule. The competitive schedule features 52 games, in which 24 will be played at Smith Field.
"We're excited for this season. We are playing a strong schedule and expect to be challenged early and often," stated Head Coach
Tairia Flowers. "As a team we want to reveal our strengths and weaknesses, build off the results and prepare for conference play and beyond. We are fortunate to have a mix of experience and talent. We play teams from multiple conferences as well as post season teams, but the goal will always be to focus on our growth as a program and compete no matter who is in the other dugout.

The Lions will start their season with a double-header in Irvine, Calif. against Mississippi State and Oklahoma on Feb.11. They will return to Smith Field on Feb 12
th for an intense home opener double header against University of Oregon and UC San Diego.
LMU will then travel to Tucson, Ariz. for a 3-day tournament that features games against Kentucky, Arizona, Long Beach State, and UC Santa Barbara from Feb. 18-20.
Following the tournament in Tucson, LMU will travel to Palm Springs, Calif. from Feb. 25-27 for another competitive 5-game tournament, while facing opponents such as Washington, Baylor, Iowa State, Southern Utah and UC Riverside.
The Lions will start the month of March with another tournament in Fullerton that will feature competitive matchups against Kansas, Texas A&M, Fresno State and ASU. The next five will be at home as midweek games against Utah and Princeton, prior to a meeting with UPenn at UCLA in Westwood on March 10
th.
The Lions close out March with a home series against South Dakota State, then a single home game versus California Baptist. They will finalize the March stretch on the 30
th for an away matchup against Fresno State.
LMU will begin conference play traveling to BYU for a 3-game series, followed up by another conference series at St. Mary's College. They will then return for a home game against Cal State Fullerton at Smith Field.
LMU hosts Pacific for a three-game series and then travel to San Diego to face the Toreros to finish off March and begin April's run. Action returns to Smith Field with a match up against Grand Canyon before ending the regular season with a WCC series home versus Santa Clara.
The West Coast Conference Tournament returns May 26-28 this season.
