WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. – LMU competed with two on the doubles court and two singles players on Sunday's final day of the season-opening Rancher Invitational.
"It was absolutely awesome to get some of the guys on the court locally for some high-quality competition," said Head Coach
Tom Lloyd. "There is nothing quite like good old fashion competition. The guys that competed this weekend learned a lot and saw what some of the level is like in our region and across the nation. It's a good starting point for use and we will take a lot back home to work on in gearing up for the rest of our fall season with the team. We got some good things to work on and I am very excited to get back to practice first thing tomorrow morning."
John Bryan Otico and
Isaac Becroft took their doubles matchup to the brink, while Becroft forced a decisive tiebreaker in his singles match.
Doubles:
Otico/Becroft lost to Vicotr Castro and Joe Tyler (SDSU)- 8-7
Singles:
Isaac Becroft lost to Eric Hadigian 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (5)
Dane Esses lost to Pietro Fellin 6-2, 6-1
LMU will next compete at the UCSB Classic from Oct. 8-10.
