Four Lions lead the way at Biola Invitational

FULLERTON, CA – The Loyola Marymount University Lions men's cross country team hit the course on Friday morning and ran a limited squad for the Biola Invitational at Ted Craig Regional Park.
 
Head Coach Jason Zarb-Cousin used a team of four runners for the meet. Leading the charge for the Lions in the 8k run was freshman Daniel Vaca who crossed the finish line with a career best time of 26:40.4. Fellow freshman Bennett Woolsey was the next Lion finisher, also posting a career best, with a time of 27:11.2.
 
William Luders was the next Lion to finish the race when he crossed the line at 27:50.6 and rounding out the four participants for LMU was Yonathan Amare with a career best time of 29:01.8.
 
The Lions women's team will hit the course next weekend for the Riverside Invitational on Saturday, September 18th followed by both squads participating at The Master's Invitational on Saturday, September 25th.
