Loyola Marymount University announced Tuesday that the contract for head men's and women's cross country and track and field Coach
Scott Guerrero will not be renewed.
"We are very thankful to Scott for his contributions to our cross country and track programs and university as a whole," said Athletic Director
Craig Pintens. "We wish Coach Guerrero well in his future endeavors."
Guerrero served as the head coach for 23 seasons. During his time at LMU he coached four All-Americans and multiple individual WCC champions and all-conference performers. Guerrero led the Lions to multiple second-place WCC team finishes. Guerrero was named WCC Coach of the Year three times.
LMU will immediately begin a search for a new head coach for men's and women's cross country.
