STOCKTON, Calif. – The LMU women's soccer team was unable to find the back of the net on Saturday afternoon, falling to Pacific, 2-0.
Pacific (1-7-2, 1-5-1 WCC) scored one goal in each half to take the game over the Lions (1-5-1, 1-5-0 WCC).
Both teams remained scoreless for the first half hour of play, but the Tigers pounced in the 33
rd minute for the lone goal of the first half.
After being outshot 4-1 in the opening 45 minutes, LMU took the majority of shots after intermission. The Lions took five shots and allowed only one in the second half to outshoot Pacific 6-5 in the game.
Pacific added a second goal in the 78
th minute.
In addition to totaling more shots, LMU earned seven corner kicks and allowed only three.
The Lions will return home to Sullivan Field for a final time next Saturday to host San Francisco on April 10.
