MALIBU, Calif. – LMU women's soccer held the conference's third-leading scoring offense to just one goal on Saturday, but could not find the back of the net themselves. The Lions (1-5-1, 1-5-0 WCC) dropped the PCH Cup rivalry matchup, 1-0, to #24 Pepperdine (5-3-1, 4-1-1 WCC).
LMU made two first half saves, compared to one from the Waves, but Pepperdine found the net first in the 23
rdminute. Calista Reyes scored the lone goal for the home team.
The Lions withstood 20 of the 21 shots by the Waves, as only five were on target. The Lions totaled five shots on the game.
Madison Thomas recorded LMU's lone shot on goal, which occurred in the opening six minutes of the game.
Kendyll Humphreys recorded four saves for the Lions in her 90 minutes in net.
Pepperdine earned six corner kicks in the game, compared to four for LMU.
The Lions will remain on the road for another week, traveling to Stockton to face Pacific on Saturday, April 3.
