LOS ANGELES- The No. 7 Loyola Marymount University beach volleyball team is hitting the road for a double header on Thursday against CSUN at 11am and 1:30 pm.
The Lions head into Thursday's matches ranked No. 7 in the nation, a ranking up from their previous No. 8 spot, according to the AVCA.
The Lions previously went 3-2 against No. 18 LBSU, but fell to No.1 USC last weekend. The pairs of Selina Marlof and
Reka Orsi Toth,
Jessie Prichard and
Savannah Slattery,
Emma Doud and
Madi Firnett, and
Georgia Fusco and
Piper Manross were all play makers to the successful win over LBSU.
CSUN is 3-1 overall in their season. The beach volleyball team is on a winning streak of two after beating Vanguard University and Hope University last weekend.
The Lions currently hold a 8-2 overall record for their season.
