LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University Lions women's swim team will host its lone home triangular meet this weekend when Pepperdine and Westmont pay a visit to Burns Aquatics Center. The Saturday triangular meet against both schools is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m.
LMU is no stranger to Pepperdine this season as the Lions competed against the Waves earlier in the year. The Lions were competitive throughout the January 16th
meet and posted impressive results in relays while newcomer
Abigail Shaw won the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.09.
Both Pepperdine and Westmont are Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference members that the Lions will see once again in March before competing in the conference championships in April.
Head Coach
Bonnie Adair will see seniors
Taylor Pajunen,
Serena Myatt,
Audrey Hixon,
Alexis De Bever, and
Anna Gasiorowski compete for her at home for the last time. The foursome is slated to compete throughout the meet and will look to finish their careers swimming at Burns on a high note. As a team, LMU will have a majority of its roster available to compete this weekend.
The triangular meet will be available to watch live on the
@LMULionsSWIM Instagram account using Instagram Live. Links are available on the women's swimming schedule page.
No fans will be permitted and all state, local and university health protocols will be respected by student-athletes, coaches and staff.
