LOS ANGELES – Coming off the most complete game of the early season, LMU men's basketball is heading east to play a national power out of the ACC in Florida State. The Lions (2-1) and Seminoles (2-1) will battle it out on the hardwood Sunday in the opening game of the Duval Bracket on CBS Sports Network.
 
In Wednesday night's win over Little Rock, LMU scored a season-high 82 points on 31 made field goals and 54.4 percent shooting. Defensively, LMU held the Trojans to an opponent low of 63 points, including a 4-for-19 shooting mark from three and 22 turnovers. The Lions now rank first in the WCC in turnovers forced entering Thursday with 16.67 per game.
 
For the first time in his career, Joe Quintana has put together back-to-back games of 20 points after scoring 26 and 25 in LMU's consecutive wins. The redshirt senior ranks first in the WCC and fourth in the nation with 4.67 made threes per game, coming off a career-best seven threes knocked down against Little Rock. Defensively, Quintana swiped six steals on Wednesday, and is now ranked eighth nationally with 3.67 steals per game.
 
Florida State enters the tournament with height that the Lions have yet to see this season. The Seminoles are the early leads in the ACC in offensive rebounds per game (16.0) and blocked shots per game (6.3).
 
At 18.0 turnovers forced per game by Florida State, and 16.67 turnovers forced by the Lions, both teams will try to take the ball defensively.
 
All games in the Duval Bracket will be streamed on CBS Sports Network, including the open round game and Tuesday's Championship and Consolation games. The teams await the results of the night cap game on Sunday to determine the matchups for Monday. The Lions will either play Missouri or SMU to close out the multi-team event.
