LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University men's tennis team (3-4, 2-1 WCC) will extend its road stand this week, as the team will head to Salt Lake City, UT., to take on University of Utah on Saturday.
This will be the third week in a row that the Lions have been on the road, as the team was in San Luis Obispo and then San Diego. LMU hasn't had a strong showing on the road, as the team fell to Cal Poly 4-3, University of Oregon 5-2 and to University of San Diego 4-0. Despite the road losses, the Lions have gone 3-1 at home.
The last time the Lions took on University of Utah was in 2017. LMU fell to the Utes 5-2, and then lost 6-1 in 2016. The Utes are 10-4 on the season.
Keenan Mayo has been holding down the No. 1 and 2 spots for the Lions and is 3-3 on the season, while
Diego Nava is 4-2 from the No. 1 and No. 2 spots.
The Lions will take on the Utes at noon at the George S. Eccles Tennis Center on Saturday.
