LMU Conference Schedule
SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has released a modified seven-week men's soccer schedule from February 28 through April 11. Matches will be held on Sundays in six of the seven weeks, while each team will square off on Saturday during the week of Easter. The schedule does not include non-conference games teams schedule independent of the conference, and is subject to change.
The Lions open conference play on February 28 with a road contest against Santa Clara. LMU will make their Sullivan Field debut the following week on March 7 to face Gonzaga. After hosting the Bulldogs, the Lions head back on the road to take on Portland on March 14.
After the trip to Portland, LMU will host three straight home games starting with San Diego on March 21, followed by Pacific on March 28 and their home finale against San Francisco on April 3.
The Lions final game of the schedule is slated for April 11 when they travel to Saint Mary's for a clash of teams who finished first and second in the WCC last season, respectively.
The NCAA start date for the season is February 3. The NCAA Men's Soccer Championship will consist of a 36-team bracket this season. Selections for the tournament will occur on April 18, culminating with the Men's College Cup May 13-17. The WCC's regular-season champion will earn the conference's automatic qualification to the tournament. Both LMU and Saint Mary's earned NCAA bids last season.
