LOS ANGELES – LMU looks to stay unbeaten at home this week as the Lions host a pair teams from the Big West Conference. The week of games begins on Thursday as LMU (3-3) hosts UC Irvine (2-3), then Cal Poly (2-2) will come to Gersten Pavilion on Saturday. Both games will tip at 6 p.m and air on the WCC Network online.
 
LMU will face the Anteaters for the first time since the 2015 season, after topping UCI's conference mate, UC Santa Barbara, on Saturday. The 'Eaters had won two consecutive games before falling to USC last week, but are winless against Division I opponents this season. UC Irvine has been outscored 254 to 186 in three games against fellow Division I opponents. 
 
Similar to the Lions, UCI is perfect at home and winless away from their home campus. LMU will be playing at home in back-to-back games this season and will look to create the team's first multi-game win streak.
 
LMU led for 36 minutes and 18 seconds of last Saturday's game to take the rematch win over UC Santa Barbara. Dameane Douglas and Joe Quintana combined for 45 of the team's 81 points in the win, as each player set new career-high marks against the Gauchos. Not only were the pair LMU's two 20-point scorers, but both Douglas and Quintana are making a return this season after missing the entirety of the 2019-20 campaign due to injury.
 
The other player to make his return from injury is graduate transfer Kodye Pugh. Making his season debut on Saturday, Pugh played his first game since the 2018-19 season as well.
