LOS ANGELES --  The Loyola Marymount University volleyball team will be adding two more players to its roster for the 2020 season, as Isabella Bareford and Annabella Pirrotta signed their National Letters of Intent, announced by head coach Aaron Mansfield on Wednesday. 
 
Bareford comes to the Lions from Long Beach, Calif., where she attended St. Anthony High School. The setter is 5-10 and tallied 90 assists and 101 kills her senior season. 
 
"We identified Isabella really early on in the recruiting process and learned very quickly what a special person and talent she is," said Mansfield. "On the court, she possesses every quality we are looking for in a Lion. She is a great teammate, competes extremely hard and makes those around her better and more productive. 
 
"With Isabella's faith, commitment to academics and ability to play the game at the highest level, we always felt that LMU was a great fit for her and our program. It was a long and unique recruiting process with Isabella, with ups and downs but we couldn't be happier that she finally is going to become a Lion," said Mansfield. "She will make an immediate impact on this program."
 
Pirotta, an outside hitter and libero, is an Oakland, Calif., native and is currently ranked No. 14 in the state of California. The 5-9 incoming freshman has compiled 118 digs her senior season, while posting 183 kills. 
 
"Annabella is a very well-rounded player," said Mansfield. "She played outside hitter on her high school team, libero on her club team, as well as beach volleyball. Annabella is another player that really valued the academic piece of her college experience, has the desire to play beach volleyball and wants to put in the work to get as good as she can get at the game. These are all traits that are a great fit here in our environment and culture at LMU. We can't wait to get Annabella here and get started with that process." 
 
Bareford and Pirotta will join the Lions in the fall to kick off the 2020 season.
